Red Ants Pants Leadership Foundation Girls Leadership Program

The Red Ants Pants Foundation Girls Leadership Program application is now open for the 2022-2023 program year.

WHAT - The Red Ants Pants Foundation Girls Leadership Program is designed to inspire hope for youth, develop pride in rural communities, and foster strength and courage in leadership. The Girls Leadership Program builds highly competent and confident leaders, cultivated specifically to build upon the strength of girls from rural Montana.  Topics include communication, team building, self-awareness, self-care, emotional intelligence, project planning, project management, conflict resolution, and resiliency. The program runs October - April and involves three weekend retreats, a few webinars, and bi-weekly mentoring sessions. The only expense required by participants is travel to and from each retreat, located in central Montana. If this is a difficulty, stipends may be available for assistance.

"Before my experience in the GLP, I did not know I could have the confidence and determination to be a leader in my community.  I thought being a leader was something I could never achieve, but the program taught me that I was very wrong. I now know that I am capable of doing anything I set my mind to, and that I should never doubt myself."-Carrie, 2022

WHO- The Red Ants Pants Foundation Girls Leadership Program encourages all girls who are Montana residents entering their junior year of high school to apply! Prior leadership experience is not required, however established leaders will also find tremendous value in the program. Applicants simply need to be willing to learn and invest in their personal and professional development, and be excited to participate in a community of thoughtful young women ready to connect and grow.

We accept applicants from all over the state, with a particular interest in serving girls from small communities. We know that personal referrals are the best way to reach and encourage young women to apply. If you know someone who might be a good fit for this uniquely empowering program, please direct them to our website for more information.

"This program was truly life changing. I think it’s something everyone, especially teenage girls, should participate in."
